Teglværksbroen

The Teglværksbroen Bridge provides the 1,800 residents on Sluseholmen with a solid connection to the neighbours on Teglholmen and a more humane route to the rest of Copenhagen. Sluseholmen in the South Harbour of Copenhagen has been more or less finished for a couple of years. Nevertheless, access to the area has always presented a challenge, but from 2011, the Teglværksbroen Bridge will provide the 1,800 residents on Sluseholmen with a solid connection to the neighbours on Teglholmen and a more humane route to the rest of Copenhagen. Teglværksbroen is a combined car, cycle and pedestrian bridge. Part of the bridge deck can be raised to allow ships to sail to the far end of the Teglværkshavnen harbour.
