Copenhill

Ski down the roof of the enormous incinerator. And if you're really brave, take Northern Europe’s highest climbing wall back up to the top.

Whether you walk, run, climb or take the ski lift, the view of Copenhagen is hard to beat from CopenHill's 85 meters.

CopenHill has given Copenhageners and visitors the opportunity for cool mountain sports activities in a big city with no significant altitude and is spectacular and innovative in the truest sense of the word. The new, enormous addition to Copenhagen’s architectural starry sky has been visible from most of the city since its opening in the fall of 2019.

Copenhagen's first ski slope

You can now ski and snowboard down Copenhagen's first ski slope. You can bring your own equipment, or you can rent something from the shop Steep and Deep, where experts will be ready to help you. Just like at more traditional ski destinations, you can of course also end your day on the slopes with après-ski at CopenHill's very own après-ski bar and café.

If you're not into skiing, you can also try the new hiking route that goes all the way along CopenHill's roof. If you're a certified climber, you can also try CopenHill's climbing wall, which at 85 meters is the world's highest.

Innovative and sustainable

It's the playful and creative features that help make ARC a completely new way of thinking about resource management in a big city. Here, an incinerator has been turned into something that is welcomed by the city's residents.

ARC is one of the initiatives that will help make Copenhagen the world's first CO2-neutral capital.
