Cirkelbroen - The Circle Bridge

The Circle Bridge connecting Christianshavnskvarteret Christiansbro with Applebys Plads. The bridge connects with its five circles the city in a new way, it is also beautiful in the evening, with the red-orange railing and the five masts are beautiful at night when they get light up. The bridge was created by the world famous Danish-Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson.

The bridge spans a canal width of 35 meters. The bridge consists of five staggered circles where the masts strike 17.5 to 25 meters in the air. Here passes 4.000 bikes every day, while 2.100 crosses the bridge on foot. Ramboll is behind the bridge technical development, where the bridge was opened in the summer of 2015 after a one and a half year delay.
